Today is Christmas Eve Eve as I'm sure everyone is aware. But for us it is Christmas Eve. We have all the kids on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day so we get to celebrate one day early. I'm soo excited for the kids to open all their goodies and see their reactions. The only sad note is that my husband has to work so he will not be able to be here when they open all their presents. I am going to tape it so he can watch it when he gets home. Which reminds me I better check the camera to make sure the batteries are still good.
On Sunday I went to a good friends house to bake cookies with 2 other wonderful ladies. We cranked those cookies out like we were in a factory. She has an AWESOME convection oven that allowed us to bake several sheets at once. I am soo jealous of that oven. I want one. I need one. The things I would bake with that oven. Oh my.
On his way over to join me and bring food for the troops my husband had not one but two little ones puking in the car. Nice, right? So needless to say we didn't stay long. I cleaned the car up and shoved some pizza in my mouth and we left for home. On the way home they both threw up two more times and the third child started to cry because her belly hurt. Not good.
We got home I got everyone in jammies. Beds made on the couch and loveseat. Port-a-crib set up. Then my hubby started to feel ill. Ugh. But by the morning the puking had stopped and I let them lay on the couches and watch TV all day long. Of course the next night it was my turn and I was up and down all night long. Today I'm feeling much better and got the house cleaned up. I even got my step-sisters bench finished up for Christmas.
So tomorrow we will have the big day in the morning and head to my mothers in the afternoon for another orgy of toys. The kids love this time of year and I enjoy seeing the joy on their faces.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
