So I had a dream last night that Bubba peed all over me when I was trying to potty train him. I have a good feeling that it was not an entirely crazy dream. Seeing how all of my kids have peed/pooped/vomited on me on more than one occasion.
My mom bought him some training underwear to start potty training but he still has no idea when he has to go. I mean he does go and hide when he has to go number 2 but he was all excited to wear the underwear so we let him wear them and he just goes when he needs to go. My doctor said not until he is 3 will he probably potty train so we will see.
By the way I am horrible at potty training. My oldest took forever to be completely trained. I got lucky with the middle child as her dad set that whole train in motion on one of his weekends. I was so traumatized by the my first child that I was in no hurry to work on child number two. But she must have been ready because it was seriously like 4 days and she was trained. I still have battle wounds from my oldest and it was like 8 years ago. So I am just going to try to relax about training bubba and follow his ques on when he is ready. He will sit on the potty but anything has yet to happen.
This is all exciting and interesting I know! About half way through this I felt like I was talking about training a dog. About the same no? Neither one has any idea what you are talking about and for the life of them can't figure out why you are upset with them when they have an accident. Or something like that.

I never felt the need to push potty training with my older son. School started it and when he was good and ready (i.e. when he was old enough to understand and actually wanted to be potty trained) we finished the job at home. He never had a single poop accident. He did have to wear pull-ups at night for quite a while but eventually we transitioned out of those too.
